Elizabeth Grady is not your average spa. In fact, they prefer not to be known as a spa. “Elizabeth Grady is a more professional, clinical salon that specializes in skin care,” said owner of the North Attleboro Elizabeth Grady, Karen Acquisto.
The front lobby is crisp white, welcoming clients into an atmosphere that screams “quality service.” Elizabeth Grady draws those who have had the spa experience and segments the market. Clients of Elizabeth Grady know that the estheticians are well educated and trained on the procedures and details of proper skin care. While clients are receiving a service, they are educated on why and how the treatment is being done. Karen explained that education of skin care is one of the most important factors of Elizabeth Grady. “Our estheticians are trained to have an eye for skin cancer. While they are treating skin, they look for unusual changes and if they see something they will recommend the client have a doctor take a look,” Karen said. “Skin can reflect other health problems as well, and the girls are trained to keep an eye out.”
Karen became interested in skin care in her early 20s. At that age she faced an acne problem. Her solution was to go to school and learn about it. Karen has been franchising Elizabeth Grady and other salons for 25 years. Currently, Karen has celebrated two years at the North Attleboro Elizabeth Grady.
Elizabeth Grady specializes in a variety of facial treatments as well as microdermabrasion, enzyme treatments and peels. Eye treatments to reduce dark circle and puffiness, lactic acid peels to exfoliate dead skin cells, and Vitamin C treatment are just a few of the many available.
